The Art of Discovery is a book edited by Robin Bronk and designed by typographer and award-winning art director Nancy Rouemy, which features renowned photographer Jeff Vespa’s intimate portraits and key inspirational moments and stories from Hollywood luminaries including Jessica Chastain, Nicole Kidman, Jared Leto and many others.

The book is on sale on Amazon and others, and was released last month. I added Jessica’s part in our gallery. In it, she talks about a quote of her favorite book, To Kill a Mockingbird.

You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… until you climb into his skin and walk around it.

For this year’s awards season, The Envelope brought together a unique group of actresses, including rising stars breaking through to the next level and established stars breaking out into new roles and challenges, each earning some buzz for their current films.

Participating in the conversation were Jennifer Aniston from the small, personal drama “Cake” (opening in December); Emily Blunt from the musical “Into the Woods” (opening Christmas Day); Jessica Chastain from the recently released space epic “Interstellar” and the December drama “A Most Violent Year”; Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the historic drama “Belle,” which opened in May; and Shailene Woodley from June’s young adult love story “The Fault in Our Stars.”

On The Envelope website you can watch videos (unfortunately can’t be embed) from the interview, plus excerpts of the conversation moderated by Times film writers Rebecca Keegan and Mark Olsen.

I watched it twice and one time on the airplane and I was sniveling and sobbing. (laughter) Because, you know what, airplanes make you more emotional and it was really like I was loudly crying, and I didn’t realize it because I was wearing the headphones and someone told me and I was like, “Oh, my God!”

Inspired by “Interstellar,” Paramount Pictures and Google Play are teaming up to develop a “time capsule” short film documentary capturing people’s precious moments of life on earth. The project is part of the film’s innovative marketing campaign, which launched in October. The campaign brings Nolan’s film and Google platforms together for one immersive experience: the “Interstellar Space Hub.”

Using platforms such as Google+, Google Play, YouTube and Google for Education, the Hub allows users to immerse themselves in the Nolan film, which opened in wide release on Nov. 7. Memories for the time capsule can be submitted on the Hub’s website through Dec. 15. Watch in our video archive an introduction for the Time Capsule with Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.
